A passion for people and potential
I’m always on a journey of “becoming” in my life…
What I have learned in my life and career shapes who I am and how I work as a coach today.
Here’s my story.
I hope you get some insights about what I offer and my way of being.
My passion for people
I have a deep interest and passion about people - who we are, what potential we hold. And a strong belief that all humans can offer something for this planet and the societies we are a part of. We are all unique personalities that matter. And then, sometimes we might need some time or help to find that potential, release it and use it for something great. Or we get stuck in life, and need that little gentle push to transform ourselves into the next chapter of our life story.
In my own life, it took some time before i found my own potential and identity, and realised:
My personality and skills has a unique value.
That creativity and empathy creates value.
That my identity is something to be proud of.
That navigating in life with intuition and emotions works just as well as spreadsheet planning…
Most of us go through transformations, breakdowns or larger shifts in our life - personal identity, relationships, career. Personally, I have learned from my transformations, that there is so much power and growth in those periods of life - even when we struggle in a space of nothingness.
As a coach, I am truly grateful to support people going through transformations in their life - the difficult endings, the foggy spaces of nothingness, and finding a meaningful way forward.
Professional background and experience
Yes, I have worked more than 30 years in one bank! And I learned so many things through very different positions and with people from many different cultures:
Meet customers face to face and focus on their needs.
Build commercial strategies and marketing campaigns.
Launch modern web solutions with high quality visual identity
Create strategic roadmaps for HR and large enterprise solutions
Pioneer agile transformation and leadership
Lead performance management and leadership development to support purpose, values and strategy
Bottom line of all these experiences is: We need to coordinate and collaborate to succeed together. We can achieve great things together if we practice high quality conversations and trustful relations.
During these years I have had different leadership positions - leading people, projects, or strategies. Worked in collective agile leadership teams. And also worked closely with senior leaders on a strategic level.
I bring all these learnings about leadership, conversations, relations, and people into my offer as a coach, combined with the theoretical and practical learning that I have acquired.
Being a learner & staying curious
I will never stop being curious and learn - and that brings a mix of knowledge and education into my approach as a coach. I combine the methodologies of coaching with knowledge from design thinking, innovation, leadership and strategy, and digital ways of living and working.
Here is an overview of the most important educations and learning, that contribute to my way of coaching:
Certified ontological coach - Newfield Institute (2024)
Often called the ‘gold standard’ of coaching - a 2 year education with a small group of fellow learners in Europe, facilitated by the very experienced Alan Sieler of Newfield Institute from Australia.
The education combines an ethic coaching practice with philosophy, language, biology of nervous system, neuroscience, and the body into a holistic approach and understanding of life, leadership, and learning.
Transformational leadership course (2024)
A condensed outdoor 3 day course with Ida and Sune from VIADESIGN combining understanding of modern leadership, transformation and uncertainty, and ancient wisdom traditions.
Design management and innovation - Royal Academy of Architecture and Design, Copenhagen (2018)
Supporting my creative approach with learnings about facilitation, design thinking and modern understanding of innovation and personal leadership. Understanding the power of physical prototypes and creativity from intuition and body
Master of IT, strategy and communication - Aarhus University (2012)
This MBA level education focused on modern digital communication and knowledge sharing, strategy, management and work practices in a digitial era of business.
Etcetera…
Pioneering digital web solutions, I have studied usability, user experience and digital graphical design in courses from the IT University of Copenhagen.
In different leadership roles, I have attended training courses about servant leadership and agile ways of working.
